Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, was the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021-2022. As a member of the Democratic Party, she previously was a part of the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009) as well as the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011) and the spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013-2015) and as the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki contributed to CNN's political coverage from 2017 through 2020. Psaki started her career in 2001, as an official political contributor for CNN. She worked on elections for the re-elections of Tom Harkin (Iowa Democrats) for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack (Iowa Governor). Psaki was then appointed deputy press secretary to John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki was also the communications director of Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, as well as the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 until 2006. Psaki was the press secretary for President Obama's 2012 reelection campaigns. [20] Psaki was appointed as spokesperson for the United States Department of State on February 11 13. [20] It was speculated that she was to replace Jay Carney as White House Press Secretary.[21But, Josh Earnest was announced to replace Carney on May 30 in 2014. She returned to White House as Communications Director in 2015 and stayed until the end.
